Action Filmmaking On No Budget

Kely McClung is a director/producer/editor/actor here in the A who has the audacity to craft no budget action films and to actually make them look good. His feature directorial debut Blood Ties played quite a few festivals and won a few awards. Now he's working on Kerberos and so far the footage looks fantastic. Here's the trailer if you don't believe me:

If you visit atlantafilmcommunity.org you can read a few graphs about McClung's no budget philosophy and what he's done to get Kerberos made. And if you still aren't convinced that footage this good is no budget, I can attest to the fact that as an impromptu extra at the underground fight scene I was only paid in beer. (Standing around for 3 hours yelling at a fake fight is so much more fun when you've had a few cups--and more realistic. And yes, that blurry bald guy with the glasses in the fight scene is me.)
